So yesterday, Anthony from Sydney came down to Singapore.  We both had a little walk around Clarke Quay for some leisure time and Bak Kut Teh. We shared our differences between Singapore, and Sydney lifestyles. Had a great time and then we went to walk around snapping some pics. Unfortunately, it was night and night street photography is really.. hard.. and was totally new to me. Well I had this pic of this couple chilling out.

Well after having some chatty and photo snapping session, we went back to Anthony's hotel room. Gosh, ParkRoyal on Pickering is one gorgeous hotel. Here are the pics. 

    

So that was the lobby area, this is how the room looks like.. Pretty small but well designed.

 

And the view is just awesome.. the overlook into Clarke Quay.

So, I love editing my photos (just the colours, nothing really imagery manipulative).

It gives me a better sense of colour, like I learn more about colours everytime I try it.

And it all started from a silly printing mistake.

All that aside, here are some similar photos from the photowalk but in my style of colour editing.

Yes, essay over, critique over, andddddd term 1 over. And the best part is that recess week (don't understand why everyone in Lasalle calls it "Project Week", its meant for you to relax, and to catch up your works that are not completed, not do all your works on this week.) just started!

And yesterday, Day 1 of recess week. Went for not 1, but 2 photowalks! In the morning we went to Changi Beach and shot some sunrise, and mirror shots. I got the chance to experiment some long exposure shots as well. Didn't turn out as well as it should be but I'm still learning after all..

Not to mention it was a pretty good weather as well!!

Well then, not all of us went back for the second part, but we did some silhouette shots.

 

All in all, it has been an overall enjoying and relaxing day for me (the rest as well, I hope :D) after all the assignments and essay that I have to do. To be able to photoshoot again has been so.. awesome ^_^

Movements in our daily lives, this is a shot taken at the City Hall MRT station that required a 3 minute exposure time. While I was waiting for my friends to head towards Timbre, for Irvin's 25th birthday yesterday. 

Surprisingly the food was pretty good, music as well. We had a really good time at Timbre, the one just behind the substation.

Well I should go soon, Essay due on wednesday and I haven't started it yet. 

The Colour Run!

Hurrr.. It's been a few weeks late but this is the first post!

On the 18 of August, I met up with Cera first.As she was busy filming her own shoot for her news video project. Had Ramen with Cera after I found her. Later we met up with Siti and I had a second lunch. But all in all, I was there to enjoy the run and most importantly, photography!

My camera: Oswin - all wrapped up and was prepared to snap a hell lot of photos.

Most of the people in the run were friendly enough so I could snap lots of pictures. As I couldn't change any settings, I was fully dependant on the pre-set camera settings. It was not easy. Not at all. But I still manage to get some pretty nice shots out of the run and enjoyed it.

But I guess the most important thing is that this is the first Colour Run in Singapore and it was so enjoyable despite the horrifying first day queue and the insane ticket snatched up.
